I was a committed composter in my house before I recently moved to an apartment in Mamaroneck. And now I am having a hard time throwing organic kitchen waste in the garbage instead of the compost bin - it just goes against my grain!
So what to do? Making compost in my apartment is not a real option. For one thing, where would I take it when it is ready? I plan to join a community garden, but I need to find a local one first. And even then, it may not provide a place for compost.
I would love to know if there are any initiatives - existing or in the works - to address this important challenge. C'mon fellow composters! I am surely not the only person who sees this need. Any good ideas out there?
